Bekins' rating was 925 from a total potential of 1000 points.
While Bekins is not required to conduct this audit, it affirms our ability to provide the highest quality service to our food grade customers. Last year, Bekins Sioux City scored a Superior rating with 900 points. The constant efforts to raise the standard of excellence resulted in higher ratings in two categories:
- Operational Methods and Personnel Practices
- Cleaning Practices
One of our warehouse managers stated "This was the most thorough audit completed in five years. We were scrutinized on all practices. We are very proud of this rating because it is the result of intense inspection." They reported that as a result of this audit and the comments made by the investigators, Bekins has taken an additional step toward a perfect score. Bekins now uses the criteria established by the AIB for sanitation to clean and upgrade its food grade facility. The new sanitation schedules are more specific than those in place during the audit. Constant vigilance in all areas of a food grade warehouse is required to maintain the Bekins commitment to the safe handling of food grade product.
